NAVIGATION Both the Cruising and Offshore programs include navigation training. If a participant in the Regatta Program wishes to learn navigation as well, arrangements can be made to incorporate this either before or after the regatta or during depending on the schedule of races. During the Offshore and Cruising Programs students will learn, as well as basic navigation, how to take a celestial sighting (weather permitting). There will also be a focus on the use of modern navigational electronics, which are the tools most often used for navigation today. Certifications Most of our programs can lead to Canadian, U.S., and international certification. If this is of importance to you as a student please indicate this when discussing the program in which you plan to participate. |
