YACHT MAINTENANCE A small problem on shore can quickly turn into a disaster on the open ocean. Every sailor should be versed in how to manage a mechanical problem at sea. The key is being prepared, and then knowing how to make do with what you have. The primary areas that will be covered are diesel engine maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, rigging repair, and sail repair. A degree of know how in these areas can make the difference of whether or not you make port on your own. Certifications Most of our programs can lead to Canadian, U.S., and international certification. If this is of importance to you as a student please indicate this when discussing the program in which you plan to participate. |
